On September 9th our Norma Martin celebrated her 100th birthday! Up until about 5 years ago, prior to her moving into the Whisper Woods facility, Norma was our St. James Lutheran church coordinator for the Smithtown Emergency food pantry. She shopped weekly for sales and brought the donated foods from our Narthex to the pantry! Norma was known as the “best shopper!” Several pantry volunteers from our church helped celebrate her big day at a celebration on Sept. 10th. Food insecurity is at an all time high in our Smithtown area. Monetary donations in Norma’s honor would be so appreciated!
