We would like to announce that Allison Sinisgalli is our new Interim Youth Group Leader. Many of you already know Allison, her husband A.J. and her sons Luke and Dean as they are very active members of our church. A.J. is on Council representing youth and in case you don’t know Allison yet, below is a brief biography. Please welcome her to the job and support her in any way possible.
Allison Sinisgalli, is excited to begin a new journey at St. James Lutheran Church, in addition to her current roles. When she and her family moved to Long Island, the preschool hired “Mrs. Galli” in 2020 and she fell in love with teaching the tiny tots, as well as Sunday School. But her work with youth did not start there.
Having a working relationship with youth has always been part of her career beginning in 1999, as a professional dancer/director of education for dance companies in NYC and the northeast. In 2016, she also owned her own studio for tiny dancers as young as 2, through 80 whom all performed evening length ballets she choreographed and produced. And while all that was unfolding, she also thrived as a fitness director and trainer, developing programs and training olympic athletes, as well as corporate America.
Outside of the work she has done, Allison and her family make faith a priority and have seen God work in their lives in so many ways. This has provided her the stability to learn and grow through the most difficult times, and celebrate God’s unconditional love for us all.
She looks forward to sharing how our youth can grow in their faith, to make a difference in our world deeply in need, to know and grow, with Jesus.
To all our youth, I believe in you. “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14).
